Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Major Crimes Division are investigating a bank robbery that occurred today in Burtonsville. Detectives are releasing photographs of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.
This afternoon at approximately 12:58 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the Sandy Spring bank located at 3535 Spencerville Road in Burtonsville, for the report of a bank robbery that had just occurred.
Investigators have determined that the suspect entered the bank, approached a teller, and passed a note demanding money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.
Detectives believe this same suspect robbed a Howard County Capital One Bank this afternoon, located in Elkridge. A link to the surveillance video from the Capital One Bank and the Howard County Police Department press release can be found here:

Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of these suspects. Tipsters will remain anonymous.
