Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Special Victims Investigations Division are investigating the attempted sexual assault of a 16-year-old female that occurred in the Briggs Chaney area yesterday afternoon.  A composite of the suspect is being released.

On Wednesday, May 4 at approximately 3:00 p.m., 3rd District officers responded to the report of an attempted sexual assault that had just occurred in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard.  The investigation revealed that as the victim entered her apartment building on Castle Boulevard, the suspect asked the victim to hold the entryway door for him.  Once inside the entryway, the suspect attempted to engage the victim in conversation.  The victim pretended to be on the phone and the suspect followed the victim as she walked upstairs. The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30’s, approximately 5’09” to 5’10” tall, and weighing approximately 200 pounds. He has short hair and a beard. He was last seen wearing a teal or dark blue sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black boots (see suspect composite below).
