Advisory - Press Conference Today: Two Suspects Arrested for Gaithersburg Park Homicide; Two Additional Suspects Wanted

For Immediate Release: Thursday, July 7, 2016

PRESS CONFERENCE:

Director of the Major Crimes Division Captain Francke will discuss the July 1 arrests of two suspects for the homicide of Cristian Antonio Villagran-Morales that occurred in the Malcolm King Park located at 1200 West Side Drive in Gaithersburg and that was discovered on June 17. The two suspects who have been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in this homicide case are:

Juan Gutierrez-Vasquez, age 16, of Queen Victoria Court in Gaithersburg – charged as an adult

Vanesa Alvarado, age 19, of Lakeworth Drive in Gaithersburg (mugshot below)

Captain Francke will also announce the names of two additional suspects who are wanted for the homicide of Villigran-Morales and will urge anyone with information about these suspects’ whereabouts to come forward to police.
