Detectives Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Collision in Aspen Hill

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred this morning.

On Monday, October 24 at approximately 6:54 a.m., 4th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the area of Georgia Avenue and Regina Drive for the report of a collision involving a pedestrian.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2015 Toyota Camry operated by Oyebusola O. Oworu, age 36, of Cooper Lane in Hyattsville, was travelling north on Georgia Avenue.  A pedestrian, identified as Robert Michael Grossman, age 64, of Holdridge Road in Silver Spring, was not in a marked crosswalk and was crossing northbound Georgia Avenue near Regina Drive when he was struck by the Camry.

Grossman was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Oworu was not injured in the collision.
