Detectives Investigate Indecent Exposure and Sex Offense on Ride On Bus In Wheaton; Surveillance Photograph Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 4th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the March 30 indecent exposure and sex offense that occurred on a Ride On bus in Wheaton.  Today, investigators are releasing a surveillance photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Thursday, March 30 at approximately 7:30 p.m., 4^th District officers responded to the intersection of Randolph Road and Dalewood Drive for the report of an indecent exposure that had just occurred.  The 17-year-old female victim told officers that she boarded a Ride On bus at the Twinbrook Metro Station and sat at the back of the bus.  The victim further stated that the adult male suspect, who was already seated at the front of the bus, then moved to the back of the bus to sit next to her.  The suspect had a brief conversation with the victim and then touched her inappropriately and exposed himself to her.  The victim reported the incident to the bus driver when the bus stopped at Randolph Road and Dalewood Drive.  The bus driver then contacted the police.  As the bus remained stopped, the suspect exited the bus and retrieved a bicycle that he had brought on the bus with him.  The suspect was last seen riding that bicycle south on Dalewood Drive from Randolph Road.
