Detectives Investigate Fatal Collision in Olney Area

For Immediate Release: Sunday, July 16, 2017

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision that occurred this morning in Olney.

Today at approximately 10:26 a.m., 6th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to Bowie Mill Road at Fraley Farm Road for the report of a collision involving two vehicles.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2012 Honda Accord was traveling westbound on Bowie Mill Road and a 2015 Ford Mustang was traveling eastbound on Bowie Mill Road in the area of Fraley Farm Road when the two cars collided.  The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.

The driver of the Honda Accord, Xiaolin Fu (male), age 51, of Circle Gate Drive in Germantown, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The two passengers in the vehicle, Wenshuo Zhu (female), age 45, of Circle Gate Drive and a 13-year-old female* were also transported to local hospitals.  Zhu succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.  The juvenile was transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

(*The 13-year-old is identified as Grace Fu of Circle Gate Drive).

The driver of the Ford Mustang, identified as William Eduardo Gonzalez, age 21, of Wickham Road in Olney, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
