Update: Two Suspects Arrested for Germantown Homicide

For Immediate Release: Monday, March 12, 2018

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division have charged Kairee Deyonte Dorsey, age 27, of the 13600 block of Sir Thomas Way in Silver Spring, and Christopher Arthur Breeden Jr., age 23, of the 11200 block of Lockwood Drive in Silver Spring, for the homicide of 18-year-old Andrew Turner of Germantown.

On December 16th, 2017 at 4:35 p.m., 5th District officers responded to the 12900 block of Falling Water Circle for a report of a male subject who had been shot.  First responders located the victim, Andrew Turner, at that address suffering from a gunshot wound.  He was subsequently pronounced deceased.

Investigation revealed that the victim was selling marijuana from his residence.  Christopher Breeden and Kairee Dorsey were developed as suspects in this case.  Detectives determined that on the day of the murder, Bredeen and Dorsey traveled from Silver Spring to the victim’s residence.  The victim was shot and robbed of marijuana and Breeden and Dorsey then fled the scene.

On February 28, 2018, Kairee Dorsey was arrested during a traffic stop and ultimately charged with wearing, carrying and transporting a handgun, possession of Oxycodone, possession of counterfeit United States currency, and other charges related to firearms and drug possession.  Dorsey’s residence was searched and evidence tying him to the homicide was recovered.

On March 2, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Breeden charging with one count of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.  Breeden was arrested on March 7 in Columbia, Maryland and transported to the Central Processing Unit.  Breeden is currently being held without bond.

On March 8, detectives obtained an arrest warrant charging Dorsey with one count of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.  He was served with the warrant while in custody of the Montgomery County Department of Corrections.  Dorsey is scheduled for bond review at the Rockville District Court on March 13 at 1:00 p.m.
