Update: Continued Concern for Mother and Son

Update: March 14, 2018 - Crystal Marie Wood and her five-year-old son, Gianni Vanegas have been located safe and unharmed.

The press release was edited on 3/13/18 to reflect the correct last name of "Wood."

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Special Victims Investigations Division are continuing to ask the public for assistance in locating a mother and her son.

Crystal Marie Wood, age 33, of Tidewater Court in Olney, has her five-year-old son, Gianni Vanegas, with her.  Investigators have received information that Wood and her son were in the Baltimore area yesterday (Sunday, March 11).

Wood is described as a white female who is 5’ 4” tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.  Vanegas is approximately 3' tall and weighs 41 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

Police and family are concerned for the well-being of Crystal Wood and her son and want to verify both Crystal Woods and her son's welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Crystal Wood and Gianni Vanegas should call  911.
