For Immediate Release: Monday, June 11, 2018

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the June 8 undetermined death of an adult male who was located deceased inside of a vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping center in Germantown.

The decedent has been identified as Nicholas Ryan McGinnis, age 19, from Middletown, Maryland.

On Friday, June 8 at approximately 6:08 p.m., 5th District officers responded to a shopping center located in the 20900 block of Frederick Road for the report of a suspicious situation involving a parked vehicle.  Officers observed an adult male, later identified as McGinnis, deceased inside his car.

McGinnis’ body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy was conducted to determine the manner and cause of his death.  The autopsy results are pending but the OCME reported no visible signs of trauma to McGinnis’ body.
