Update: Warrant Issued for White Oak Shooting Suspect; Police Ask for Public's Help to Locate Suspect

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section have obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect responsible for the shooting of a 39-year-old male in a White Oak residence yesterday (Friday, August 24) and are asking for the public's help in locating him.

The suspect, Seth Greenidge, also known as Seth Greenridge, age 33, has been charged via a Montgomery County arrest warrant with attempted first-degree murder.  Greenidge is believed to be homeless but is known to frequent the White Oak area of the County and also Washington, D.C.

Investigation of this shooting revealed that Greenidge and the victim are known to one another.

The victim was transported with serious injuries.  He is expected to survive.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Greenidge is asked to immediately call the Montgomery County Police Department's non-emergency line at 301-279-8000.  Callers may remain anonymous.
