Update: Identity Released in Death Investigation Following Germantown House Fire; No Foul Play Suspected

For Immediate Release: Thursday, October 11, 2018

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are identifying the male who was located deceased in his Germantown home following a house fire as Richard Michael Bauer, age 69, of the 19200 block of Cross Ridge Drive.

The autopsy results from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore are pending.  At this time, no foul play is suspected in Bauer’s death.
