Update: Germantown Homicide Suspect Commits Suicide

Detectives with the Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the October 23 homicide of 20-year-old Stephen Frazier of Germantown.

During this homicide investigation, Valentino Pritchett, age 18, of an unconfirmed address, was developed as a suspect.  Pritchett was wanted by the Police Department for attempted murder in connection with a previous incident.

On October 23 at approximately 7:02 p.m., officers located Pritchett traveling in a vehicle in the area of Great Seneca Highway and Mateny Road in Germantown.  As officers approached the car in an attempt to arrest Pritchett, he shot himself.  Officers rendered first aid and called for the assistance of Fire & Rescue personnel.  Pritchett was declared deceased at the scene.

Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this homicide.
