Detectives Investigate Single Vehicle, Fatal Collision in Olney

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a single vehicle fatal collision that occurred early this morning in Olney.

On Sunday, February 3 at approximately 2:46 a.m., 4th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the area of Bowie Mill Road near Cashell Road for the report of a serious collision that had just occurred.  Responding officers located a gray 2007 Toyota Corolla that had struck a utility pole.  The vehicle’s adult male driver, who was the sole occupant, had succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the Corolla was traveling northbound on Bowie Mill Road approaching Cashell Road, when for reasons still under investigation, the Corolla left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The driver is being identified as Bradley Nolan Watts, age 38, of the 18700 block of Olney Mill Road in Olney.
