Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3
rd District Investigative Section arrested and charged
Dominick Anthony Brown, age 29, of the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard in Silver Spring, for the
robbery that occurred at the Bank of America ATM in the Briggs Chaney area.
The investigating detectives determined that on November 6, the adult male victim was attempting to deposit cash at the Bank of America ATM located at 13808 Outlet Drive when he was approached by the suspect. The suspect assaulted the victim and demanded the cash the victim was trying to deposit.
On January 9, detectives released surveillance video of the suspect to the media and public, asking for help in identifying the suspect. Investigators received an anonymous tip, which led to the identification of Brown.
On January 15, investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Brown, charging him with one count of robbery. Brown was arrested on February 6 on the strength of a Montgomery County warrant and is currently held on a $10,000 bond.
The police department thanks the tipster who provided the information that led to Brown’s identification and arrest.
