Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate three robberies of a SunTrust Bank located inside the Safeway grocery store at 14939 Shady Grove Road in Rockville that are believed to be committed by the same suspect.

On Sunday, January 27, at approximately 4:05 p.m., the investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.•
On Sunday, February 3, at approximately 3:52 p.m., the investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.• On Sunday, March 3, at approximately 4:55 p.m., the investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank.
Anyone with information about the suspect or these bank robberies is asked to contact the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
