April 11 Pedestrian Collision in Rockville Now Fatal

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate a now-fatal pedestrian collision that occurred on Thursday, April 11 in Rockville. The pedestrian, identified as Huo K Li, age 83, of the 11400 block of Duryea Drive in Potomac, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Yesterday (Wednesday, April 17), Li succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

On Thursday, April 11 at approximately 2:24 p.m., 1st District officers, Rockville City Police Department officers, and fire and rescue personnel responded to the parking lot of 650 Hungerford Drive for the report of a serious collision involving a pedestrian.

The preliminary investigation by officers revealed that a 2017 Audi Q5 was exiting the parking lot of 650 Hungerford Drive when for reasons still under investigation, the Audi Q5 collided with Li.

The driver of the Audi Q5, identified as Christina Kueichih Lin, age 52, of the 500 block of Longhorn Crescent in Derwood, was not injured in the collision.
