Detectives Investigate Sexual Assault in Montgomery Village

For Immediate Release: Sunday, April 21, 2019

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Special Victims Investigations Division are investigating the report of a rape that occurred last night in Montgomery Village.

On April 20, 2019, at approximately 10:15 p.m., the victim was exiting a Ride-On bus in the area of the 19300 blocks of Watkins Mill Road.  The victim noticed that an unknown male suspect began following her as she walked from the bus stop.  The victim began to run but the suspect followed and knocked her down.  The suspect then pulled the victim into a grassy area by the woods nearby where he raped her.  The victim was able to get away from the suspect and return to her home.  The victim went to a local hospital where the police were notified of the incident.

The only suspect information available at this time is that the suspect was an unknown race male.  No other information is currently available.
