Detectives Investigate ATM Robberies in Silver Spring; Surveillance Footage Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Major Crimes Division continue to investigate a series of ATM robberies that have occurred in Silver Spring this week.

On May 2, at 3:10 a.m., two suspects entered the 7-11 Store located at 12257 Tech Road in Silver Spring, and forced the storekeepers to lay down on the floor.  A third suspect then rammed a pick-up truck through the front of the store near the ATM which was located inside.  The suspects loaded the ATM onto the truck and made good their escape.  The storekeepers were unharmed.

During the incident, the suspects were dressed in black hoodies with their faces covered so little additional information is available on the suspects descriptors.

Today, surveillance footage is being released of the Tech Road incident.

Detectives urge anyone with information about the suspects or this robbery to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100. For those who wish to remain anonymous, Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
