Update: Victim’s Identity Released in Silver Spring Homicide

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the homicide of an adult male that occurred last night in Silver Spring

The victim is identified as Edras Armando Munoz, age 30, of an unconfirmed address.

Yesterday evening, at approximately 10:55, officers from the 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a shopping center located at 8528 Piney Branch Road for the report of a dispute in the parking lot.  Responding officers located Munoz in the parking lot of the shopping center suffering from apparent trauma to his body.   Munoz was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
