Suspect Arrested in Silver Spring Homicide

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division, have arrested Oscar Danilo Manzano-Mora, age 23, for the homicide of Edras Armando Munoz, that occurred on May 8, 2019 in front of 8528 Piney Branch Road in Silver Spring.  Manzano-Mora has been charged with 1st Degree Murder.

On Wednesday, May 8 at approximately 10:55 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to a shopping center located at 8528 Piney Branch Road for the report of a dispute in the parking lot.  During the dispute Manzano-Mora stabbed Munoz.  Responding officers located Munoz in the parking lot of the shopping center suffering from a stab wound to his body.   Munoz was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
