Detectives Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Wheaton

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that occurred today in Wheaton.

On Sunday, September 22nd, at approximately 3:39 p.m., officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police 4th District, officers from the Maryland National Capital Park Police, and MCFRS personnel, responded to Randolph Road and Lindell Street for the report of a single-motorcycle personal injury collision.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2018 KTM Duke 390 motorcycle, driven by Luis Edmundo Villeda, age 51, of Silver Spring, was traveling westbound on Randolph Road when for unknown reasons, he lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. Luis Edmundo Villeda was pronounced deceased at the scene.
