Detectives Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Collision in Boyds

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department - Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a single-vehicle fatal collision that occurred last night in the Boyds area.

On Saturday, September 28, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers from the 1st District along with MCFR personnel responded to Darnestown Road just prior to Bucklodge Road for a vehicle collision.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that a 2006 Mercedes Benz E350 was traveling eastbound on Darnestown Road when for unknown reasons it struck two utility poles before leaving the roadway. The adult male driver was pronounced deceased on the scene.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Stephen Michael Feny, age 35, of Poolesville.
