Detectives Investigating Thefts from Vehicles in Olney; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

Detectives from the 4th District-Patrol Investigation Unit are investigating several thefts and attempted thefts from vehicles that have occurred in residential areas in the Olney area.? The Police Department is releasing home video surveillance of two suspects involved in these thefts and are asking anyone with information about them to please call investigators. 



?On August 19 at approximately 3:58 a.m., a resident of Viburnum Place reviewed surveillance footage of a suspect unsuccessfully attempting to gain entry to his locked vehicle parked in his driveway.? The suspect left once a motion light was activated. 



?On October 27, at approximately 2:37 a.m., home video surveillance revealed that a suspect stole cash from an unlocked vehicle at a residence on Singers Glen Drive. At approximately 2:39 a.m.,  surveillance footage shows the same suspect at another residence on Singers Glen Drive, attempting to open the locked front passenger door of a vehicle parked in the driveway. The suspect then entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the same driveway and stole change.  ?? 



On October 28, a third resident on Singers Glen Drive reported theft of cash from her unlocked vehicle that had occurred during the overnight hours. 



Investigators are asking anyone with information regarding the suspects to call the 4th District- Patrol Investigative Unit at 240 773 5476. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this crime.
