Update: Five Juveniles Charged for Committing Silver Spring Mall Robbery; Police Seek to Identify Sixth Suspect

Detectives from the 3rd District Investigative Section have charged five juveniles from Northeast, Washington, D.C., with robbery-related offenses for the October 2 robbery of two juvenile females that occurred inside a mall in downtown Silver Spring.  Today, investigators are re-releasing a surveillance photograph of the sixth suspect and continue to ask for the public’s help in identifying her.

On October 10, detectives released surveillance video of the suspects and asked the public for help in identifying them.   Investigators received numerous tips that led to the identities of five of the six suspects.

Anyone with information regarding the unidentified suspect is asked to call the 3rd District Investigative Section at 240-773-6870. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
