For Immediate Release: Wednesday, February 19, 2020

Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police have charged Sang Kim, age 50, the owner of Acupuncture Cure in Poolesville, with committing a fourth-degree sexual offense for inappropriately touching an adult female patient during an acupuncture appointment.

In late August 2019, the victim arrived for an appointment with Kim at Acupuncture Cure located at 20010 Fisher Avenue.  During the appointment, the victim was instructed to remove her clothing (except for her underwear) and to put on a medical gown that opened in the front.  While on an exam table, Kim touched the victim inappropriately and without her consent.

In early February, the victim reported the incident to police.  Officers interviewed Kim on February 15 and on February 16, Kim was charged with a fourth-degree sexual offense via a District Court summons.

Detectives are requesting that anyone who believes she/he has been a victim of Kim to call Officer Rorke at 240-773-5700.

A mugshot of Kim is not available.
