Detectives Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Four Corners Area of Silver Spring

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department-Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcyclist that occurred this afternoon in the Four Corners area of Silver Spring.

Today, Sunday, March 22, at approximately 1:55 p.m., 3rd District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to Colesville Road (Route 29) at Southwood Avenue for the report of a collision involving a motorcycle.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that the operator of a 2005 Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle was traveling south on Colesville Road.  For reasons still under investigation, the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The motorcyclist, identified as Rajawhn Eric Clary, age 31, of Greenbelt, Maryland, was declared deceased at the scene.
