Detectives Investigate Fatal Single-Vehicle Collision in Germantown

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred this morning in Germantown.

On Saturday, June 6, at approximately 7:35 a.m., 5th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the 20400 block of Seneca Meadows Parkway for the report of a collision.

Preliminary investigation by detectives revealed that a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling south on Seneca Meadows Parkway when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree.

The driver (and sole occupant) of the vehicle, Steven Daniel Wolfe, age 58, of Belmart Road in Potomac, was transported to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
