Detectives Investigate Single-Vehicle Fatal Collision in Potomac

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) are investigating a single vehicle, single occupant, fatal collision that occurred last night in the Potomac area.

On Monday, August 10, at approximately 10:51 pm, 1st District officers and Fire & Rescue personnel responded to River Road (MD-190) near Luvie Lane for the report of a collision.

Preliminary investigation by detectives has determined that a 2017 Hyundai Elantra was traveling south on River Road when for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle struck a utility pole and became fully engulfed with fire.

The driver (and sole occupant of the vehicle), 25-year-old David Jesse Nebb of Rockvillle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
