Update: Pedestrian Hit and Run Collision in Aspen Hill Now Fatal; Detectives Continue to Seek Information About Striking Vehicle

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate a now fatal pedestrian hit-and-run collision that occurred on Tuesday, August 11, in the Aspen Hill area.  The pedestrian, previously identified as 62-year-old Robert Lawrence of Silver Spring, succumbed to his injuries yesterday (August 14) at the hospital.

The Police Department has released photographs of the striking vehicle and is asking anyone with information about the striking vehicle to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620.  Tipsters can also call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
