Update: Suspect Charged with Four Armed Robberies of 7-Eleven Stores in Montgomery County

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division have charged Stacey Lorenzo Busby, age 24, of an unconfirmed address, with the armed robberies of four 7-Eleven stores in Montgomery County between December 19, 2020, and January 2, 2021.  

The investigation by detectives determined that in each of the four robberies the suspect either displayed a handgun or stated that he was armed.  The suspect threatened employees and demanded cash.  

The dates and locations of the four 7-Eleven armed robberies are listed below:

December 19 at 5:57 a.m. - 5114 River Road in Bethesda. On December 28, 2020, investigators released surveillance photos of the suspect from this armed robbery and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.  

December 28 at 6:33 p.m. – 7305 Macarthur Boulevard in Glen Echo.

December 28 at 6:53 p.m. – 785 Rockville Pike in Rockville.

January 2 at 6:02 a.m.  – 15900 Shady Grove Road in Gaithersburg.

During the investigation, Montgomery County Police detectives working in coordination with Fairfax County Police Department investigators identified Busby as the suspect.  

On January 12, Busby was arrested in Falls Church, Virginia.   He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
