MCPD Releases Body-Worn Video from Montgomery Village Officer-Involved Shooting

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, March 31, 2026

Gaithersburg, MD — The Montgomery County Department of Police has released body-worn camera video from the officer-involved shooting that occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Montgomery Village.

The video includes footage from responding officers and shows the events leading up to the shooting, during which a suspect fired at an officer. The officer returned fire, striking the suspect.

The suspect, 27-year-old Andre Duvall of Germantown, was later charged with multiple offenses, including attempted first-degree murder, and is being held without bond.

No officers were injured, and no bystanders were harmed.

The video is being released as part of the department’s ongoing commitment to transparency.
