During the County’s Earth Month celebration sponsored by the Department of Environmental Protection, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) will be promoting Transportation Week with activities and events that inform the public about its commitment to the environment and transportation alternatives that are more sustainable.
Some of the activities MCDOT has planned include:
April 10:
Bikeshare Promotion, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fallsgrove Blvd and Fallsgrove Drive, Rockville
Ride On Customer Appreciation, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Medical Center Metrorail Station
April 11:
Bikeshare Promotion, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Silver Spring Metro (Colesville Road and Wayne Avenue)

Bikeshare Promotions
Stop by one of MCDOT’s Bikeshare stations and learn how to use the Capital Bikeshare system. Try out a Bikeshare bike, take a Bikeshare trip for free, and enter for a chance to win a yearlong Capital Bikeshare membership, free helmets and other prizes.
Ride On Customer Appreciation Days
Ride On will hold Customer Appreciation Days to provide information about current Ride On services and explain more about Ride On extRa, a new Ride On service that will be starting in the fall.
