On Monday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m., Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart will hold a media availability to discuss various Council matters.  

Council President Stewart will share her priorities for the upcoming year as the newly elected Council president.  

Stewart will also preview upcoming Council agenda items, including new legislation she is sponsoring to assist essential service providers working in the community and more than $3.6 million in additional funding for short-term housing and shelter service expansion. Additionally, Stewart will highlight the Council’s upcoming meeting with Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) on MCPS contracts as part of the Council’s ongoing base budget review. 

The Council President’s media availability will be held via Zoom and is for members of the news media. The public can view the media availability on the Council’s Facebook page (@MontgomeryCountyMdCouncil).
