How to recycle / dispose mirrors and sheet glass

Items made from non-container glass include:

• mirrors
• windows
• doors
• glass-topped tables
• fish tanks

If you receive Montgomery County-provided trash service (check trash service):

• Wrap items securely in paper or cardboard to contain glass in case of breakage.
• Request a curbside bulk trash pickup​.

We also accept these items as trash at the Shady Grove Processing Facility and Transfer Station.

For small mirrors and sheet glass items which fit into a trash can:

• Wrap mirror or item securely in paper.
• Place wrapped items into your regular trash.
