What items are accepted for recycling as bulky rigid plastic?
Our bulky rigid plastic drop-off accepts items including:
- Buckets (small and large)
- Baskets (plastic)
- Car seats and booster seats - see more on car seat disposal and reuse
- Closet organizers
- Clothes hangers
- Dish drainers
- Drums (food grade only; no chemical containers)
- Flowerpots and trays (clean, no soil or plant material)
- Garbage cans/waste baskets
- Landscape items (edging, trays, etc.)
- Large water bottles (5-gallon or larger)
- Laundry baskets
- Lawn furniture
- Milk/soda crates
- Pallets
- Pet carriers
- Playhouses and swimming pools
- Recycling bins
- Shelving
- Tote boxes and lids
- Toys (no batteries, wood or wires)
- Trays
How do I prepare plastics for drop-off?
All items dropped off for bulky rigid plastics recycling should be
- empty
- rinsed, if necessary
- free of loose soil and other debris
