Waste reduction, or reducing the amount of waste generated, is the preferred option to manage solid waste and is the top of the Countys solid waste management hierarchy. Currently, the Recycling and Resource Management Division (RRMD) educates businesses, multi-family properties, and residents about recycling requirements and promotes waste reduction, reuse, recycling, buying recycled, grasscycling and composting to achieve the Countys waste reduction and recycling goal.
