Independence Day: There will be no county-provided recycling or trash collections on Friday, July 4. After the holiday, pickups will slide one day, with the last pickup on Saturday, July 5. See holiday schedule.
Solid Waste Charge: Bill rate changes for the solid waste charge are in effect for all property owners as of July 1.
Transfer Station: From 7 a.m. on June 12 through July 8, the Transfer Station will not accept open-top containers, roll-off containers, dump trucks, dump trailers, stake-body trucks, box trucks, or any construction debris (C&D materials). 355/Frederick Road Entrance Closed June 30 through July 7: Due to road and infrastructure repairs, the 355/Shady Grove Entrance to the Transfer Station will be closed from June 30 through July 7. Residents should use the Shady Grove Entrance to the Transfer Station.
