As part of MCDOT's multi-year White Flint project, the portion of Executive Boulevard between the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center entrance and Old Georgetown Road is closed permanently to create improved walkability and bike ability in the White Flint West area. Improvements include sidewalks, bikeways, slower vehicle speeds, public use space, connectivity to park and recreational facilities, streetscapes and transit-oriented development in proximity to the Metro station. The project supports the goals of the County’s Vision Zero program that seeks to eliminate severe injuries and fatalities in traffic-related incidents.  Learn more and visit whiteflintproject.com.
