Jewish American Heritage Month
On May 6, 2025, the Council was joined by community members for its annual proclamation presentation and commemoration of Jewish American Heritage Month. Montgomery County is home to the largest Jewish population in the state, with 45 percent of Maryland’s Jewish residents living in our community. Amidst an ongoing rise of antisemitism nationally, Montgomery County stands united in solidarity with our Jewish residents to combat hate in all its forms.
