National Mental Health Awareness Month

On June 24, 2025, Council President Kate Stewart and Chair of the Health and Human Services (HHS) Committee Councilmember Gabe Albornoz present a proclamation recognizing Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS), and nonprofit partners continue working together to strengthen our behavioral health crisis response system, enhancing access to services such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Mobile Crisis and Outreach Teams, and Crisis Stabilization Centers.
