STATE CHAMPIONS

Coach Peter Kenah talks about all of the elements that combined to help his Whitman High School team win the Maryland 4A state championship this year as the Vikings were honored by the Montgomery County Council on May 17. It was the second girls basketball title for the Bethesda school, the other coming before all of the current team members were born. The Vikings won their final 19 games in finishing 24-3. Councilmember Roger Berliner presented a proclamation on behalf of the Council.
