Rockville, Md., July 9, 2021—On Monday, July 12 at 11 a.m., Council President Tom Hucker and Council Vice President Gabe Albornoz will hold a media availability to discuss a new bill and special appropriation being introduced by the full Council and spearheaded by Council President Hucker for the County's minority-owned business purchasing program, a Council resolution in support of Medicare for All and other Council related matters.
The duo will provide an overview of the Working Families Income Credit that begins on July 15 and discuss the recent dedication of, and ribbon-cutting ceremony for, Marian Fryer Town Plaza in Wheaton. They will also provide a brief COVID-19 update with information from the Director of the Department of Health and Human Services Dr. Raymond Crowel.
The media availability will be held via Zoom and is for credentialed members of the media.
