Montgomery Councilmember Katz to Meet With Residents of Derwood, Redland and Washington Grove on Wed., June 3 At 7 p.m. at Redland Middle School, He Will Host ‘Share Your Concerns With Sidney’

Montgomery County Councilmember Sidney Katz, who represents Council District 3, will meet with residents from the Derwood, Redland and Washington Grove communities at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, at Redland Middle School in his continuing series of informal meetings to “Share Your Concerns With Sidney.”

Redland Middle School is located at 6505 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood. The meeting is scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m.

Among the topics expected to be discussed are development in the Shady Grove area, education, transportation and public safety. Councilmember Katz, who is a member of the Council’s Public Safety Committee, will share information on the County Police Department’s pilot program to have officers wear body cameras.

“My first year representing District 3 has been filled with many issues about our County, and what is going on in our neighborhoods in particular,” said Councilmember Katz. “I know many people in the Derwood, Redland and Washington Grove communities have questions about how changes in this immediate area will impact them. I want to hear their concerns and provide as much information as possible to address those concerns.”
