Update: Video Released in December 2012 Homicide Investigation/$10,000 Reward Offered

For Immediate Release: Thursday, April 18, 2013

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division - Homicide/Sex Section are continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred in the Briggs Chaney area on December 10, 2012On December 12, 2012, the victim was identified as Christopher Davon White, age 22, of the 3400 block of Dodge Park Road in Landover, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined that White died as a result of gunshot wounds.

Through further investigation, detectives have determined that Christopher White was involved in an armed robbery on December 10th at approximately 1:57 a.m. in Prince George's County.  The armed robbery occurred at the Sunoco gas station located at 9105 Annapolis Road in Lanham.  This robbery was caught on the gas station's surveillance system.

In the video, a female and two males arrive at the gas station in a green Camaro.  As the Camaro waits at the gas pump, a metallic brown Scion approaches the Camaro, and three suspects exit the vehicle - one suspect remains in the vehicle.  The two male passengers in the Camaro are forced to exit the vehicle and lay down on the ground.  The three suspects then take property from the male passengers  and leave the gas station in the Scion driven by the fourth suspect.

Detectives have determined that the Scion had been stolen from an address in Capital Heights, Maryland on November 26, 2012.  The registration plate on the Scion is Maryland 1AX 3122.  At this time, the Scion has not been located.  Detectives have also determined that one of the suspects that exited the vehicle (the suspect in black) is Christopher White.

At this time, detectives are asking for the public's assistance in:

  • Identifying the additional two robbery suspects seen in the video (one dressed in white, one dressed in orange)
  • Locating the stolen Scion
