Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Major Crimes Division have arrested a suspect that is responsible for two Capital One bank robberies that occurred on
May 22 in Silver Spring and on
July 24 in Germantown.
In both of the bank robberies, clear images of the suspect were obtained by detectives and released to media outlets shortly thereafter. Later in the investigation, on August 8, video surveillance of the suspect was also released to media outlets.
On September 25, detectives received an anonymous
Crime Solvers tip that provided information about a possible suspect.
With this information, detectives were able to develop
Pierre Ramon Washington, age 28, of the 3400 block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills, Maryland as the suspect in both bank robberies. On September 25, an arrest warrant was obtained for Washington, and on September 27, Washington was arrested in Prince George's County.
Washington was charged with two counts of Robbery and is currently being held on a $20,000 bond.
