For Immediate Release: Monday, July 30, 2018

The Police Department was notified by the Office of the State's Attorney for Howard County that they had concluded their investigation of our Department's officer-involved shooting that occurred on June 11.  Based on a review of evidence and a review of the law, the Office of the State's Attorney's for Howard County determined that Montgomery County Police Officer Badgujar's actions were justified under the circumstances (please see the letter from the Office of the State's Attorney for Howard County below).

Assistant Chief Marcus Jones and Major Crimes Captain Michael Wahl are meeting with Robert White's family members in North Carolina today (Monday, July 30).

The Department anticipates that the body-worn camera footage from Officer Badgujar and the backup officer will be released to the public later this week.
