Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich’s Statement on MD Attorney General Brian Frosh Announcement on Not Running for the 3rd Term

“I want to thank Brian Frosh for his many decades of service to the people of Montgomery County and Maryland. Brian Frosh has been an outstanding Attorney General and we have all benefited from his wisdom, character, and leadership. We were fortunate that Brian was willing to be a national leader in the effort to fight back against the unconstitutional actions of the Trump Administration. While most people know Brian in his role as Maryland’s Attorney General, many people may not know he was a central leader in the effort to combat climate change and to protect our environment during his many years of distinguished service in the Maryland General Assembly representing Bethesda. Our state, our environment, and our community is better for Brian’s commitment to justice and equality.”
