Concern for Missing Kensington Man

Update: August 7, 2018, at approximately 12:07 p.m. - Andrew "Drew" Sims has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 4th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 31-year-old Kensington man.

Andrew “Drew” Sims of the 2900 block of Peregoy Drive was last seen by family leaving his residence at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Monday, August 6.  Sims stated that he was going for a drive and would return.  His vehicle has been located unoccupied in the area of Francis Scott Key Highway (MD-194) and N Stone Road in Taneytown, Maryland.

Sims is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing 175 pounds.  He has short brown hair, brown eyes, a beard and a mustache.  He was last seen wearing a cream shirt with a design on the chest over a white crew t-shirt, black pants, and gray and blue Asics sneakers.

Police and family are concerned for Sim’s emotional and physical welfare.  Sims regularly takes medication but does not have it with him.
