Concern for Missing Fairland Area Woman

UPDATE:  Fikirte Taddese Tesfaye has been located and is safe and unharmed.  Police and family thank the community and media outlets for their assistance in publicizing this case.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – 3rd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Fairland area woman.

Fikirte Taddese Tesfaye, age 38, of Stravinsky Drive, was last known to be in the 7000 block of Old Gate Road in Rockville this morning (Wednesday, October 3) at 9:00.   Detectives believe that Tesfaye is driving her black, 2007 Acura MDX with Maryland tags: 1DA0838.

Tesfaye is described as an African American female, 5' 5? tall and weighing 190 pounds.  She has brown eyes and black hair.

Police and family are concerned for Tesfaye’s physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Fikirte Taddese Tesfaye or her vehicle is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (available 24 hours). Callers may remain anonymous.
