Detectives Arrest Severna Park Man for Sexual Offenses Involving a Minor

For Immediate Release: Monday, May 6, 2019

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Vice & Intelligence Unit, are announcing the arrest of a Severna Park man for sexual offenses against a 14-year-old female.

On May 1, detectives arrested Mark David Peay, age 32, of Holly Path in Severna Park, Maryland, on the strength of an arrest warrant charging him with various sexual offenses with a minor.  Peay was arrested in Silver Spring while he was en route to pick up the victim again.

The investigation by detectives found that Peay had met the victim using social media.  Peay had paid the juvenile money and subsequently engaged her in sexual intercourse in late April at a hotel located in Silver Spring.

Detectives were made aware of the complaint on April 29, and determined the suspect to be Mark David Peay, age 32, of Severna Park.

Mark David Peay has been charged with the following offenses:

CR 3-307  3rd Degree Sexual Offense

CR 3-324  Sexual Solicitation of a Minor

CR 11-306  Prostitution - General

CR 11-303(b)(1)  Human Trafficking - Take/Cause

Detectives are concerned there may be additional victims related to contact with Mark David Peay.  Anyone with additional information regarding Peay or this case is asked to notify detectives at 240-773-5958.
